The colorful history of this bar dates back to
the 1880's. The building itself was built in
1886. The 30 foot bar and back bar were built
in 1935 out of mahogany and pine. Numerous
owners and name changes have occurred in
it's many years of operation. Most recently the
bar was known as Dick's Townhouse, as well
as The Night Gallery, before becoming The
Full Moon in 1991 and then under new
ownership in 2004 when the Full Moon was
purchased by David Mensch. The bar has
been used as a setting in the movie, "Coach of
the Year", and has hosted innumerable
parties, bands, and beer walks. Many can
boast of what they have been able to
accomplish due to working here. Most of the
customers can give various versions of events
and happenings over the years. The Full
Moon is a neighborhood bar and grill where
conversations and laughs are easy to come by
with staff and patrons alike. Everyone is
welcome and everyone fits in. Some call it
home away from home. Anyway you look at
it, The Full Moon is the place to be!
